SOAR
Inspired by the legendary HUMA BIRD, which according to the Hindu scriptures, is said never to come to rest, living its entire life flying high in the sky, even when it lays its eggs. The only time it ceases its flight is when it dies.
SOAR was originally staged by the Singapore Chinese Dance Theatre in August 2022. The 60-minute production was later adapted and re-imagined as a 17-minute version for 360-degree VR format.

In VR, dance can be immersive, intimate, and interactive in ways that transcend a physical, on-stage performance or a conventional video recording.
On January 27 and 28, you can choose from four VR dance films that will take you from the cosmos to the depths of the ocean - all presented on VR headsets to give you the best immersive experience. On February 3, you are invited to try a VR experience where you can explore an enchanted garden and come face-to-face with a dancing Happiness Fairy.

Swayambhu:
Pulse of the Universe
The universe is an ocean of vibrations. These vibrations are within and around us in all that is seen, heard and felt. They are there in the five cosmic elements of earth, water, air, fire and ether. When these vibrations are in tune with one another, the mind and soul attain clarity.
Dancers from Bhaskar's Arts Academy bring these cosmic vibrations to a pulsating VR180 experience with Swayambhu - Pulse of the Universe. Shot on location at the Lower Seletar Park Reservoir, it combines the artistry of the choreography with stunning visual effects.

Indiscriminate disposal of plastics in our waterways has caused devastation to all life.
Moving Stillness immerses you in the depths of the ocean for an artistic, first-person experience of the monumental struggle faced by the Ocean Mother against her plastic invaders.
Moving Stillness brings together two Asian choreographers, Kavitha Krishnan (Singapore) and Rianto (Indonesia/Japan) working in tandem to devise choreography from traditional Asian dance practices, but through contemporary lens.
